The mountain ridge road

The mountain ridge road, also named "Route des crêtes", former strategic road, was built in 1915 by the French army. It offers a splendid view of the Vosges summits, the main lakes, the Alsatian plain and the Lorraine plateau, to the Alps in a clear weather. The Hohneck, third summit of the Vosges with 1363 meters height, is easily accessible.
